My dad is no more the strongest!

Well I safely derived this as a key learning for one of the researches. I was amused to see how less dependent children are today on parents. Kids have there own world. In fact adults can enter their world by invitation only. They no more need their father to answer 1000 questions. Google is their father as far as curiosity is concerned in their little minds.

They are going through ‘tell me something new’ syndrome. On the other hand today parents need their kids to guide them well at least for the technology bit. It is obviously reflecting in the advertising today. Have you seen the Reliance ‘R Button’ ad where a father calls his 7-8 yr old son outside the classroom to help him figure the mobile feature? This is just an example.

The role models have changed. Father is not the hero for these junior heroes anymore. They control their world. At this pace one just hopes that the innocence stays and is untouched by the material change.

Remember Jugal Hansraj in lakadi ki kaathi, movie Masoom? He is so cute, so innocent. I still remember the scene in the movie where his father (Nasiruddin Shah) asks him at the railway platform while saying good bye “Aap muze bhool toh nahi jaoge?”And this sweet lil one says “ Main aapako kaise bhool sakata hun. Aap toh mere papa ho na?”
